Preparation

Prepare Caramel Sauce:

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, swirling occasionally until a deep amber color forms.

  • Remove from heat, carefully whisk in heavy cream, vanilla, and sea salt. Let cool.

  1. Prepare Banana Bread:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

    • Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and crushed bananas, mix well.

    • Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to banana mixture, stir until just combined.

  2. Assemble Bread:

    • Grease and flour a loaf pan. Fill pan halfway with banana bread batter.

    • Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Use a butter knife or toothpick to create swirls.

    • Add banana slices from one ripe banana.

    • Pour remaining batter on top, add more banana slices, and swirl in the rest of the caramel sauce.

  3. Bake:

    • Bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

    • Cool before slicing.

Enjoy!
